CHAPTER 9: [ JOEY'S POV]

I woke up and I noticed April was still sleeping ; her hand was on my tummy. She looked so adorable while sleeping, her head was rested on my shoulder and her hair was covering her face, I took my hand and put it behind her ear.

My phone started ringing so I took it and answered it , I said hello and there was no response so I ended the call - that was weird I'm going to have to find out whose calling me . I put my phone down and I looked back at April her hand tightened around my tummy. I smiled she was simply too cute when sleeping - her eyes started opening slowly , she adjusted her eyes to the light and then her eyes opened. " Morning beautiful! " I leaned over and kissed her on her forehead , she got up slowly and kissed me on the cheek.

We got out of bed and she made the bed up, I entered the bathroom - did my business and then I showered.
[ APRIL'S POV ]
After Joey came out of the bathroom I entered the bathroom , I closed the door - I did what I had to do , I brushed my teeth and then got in the shower. The hot water hit me and it felt so nice I washed my body and then my hair ; I got out and wrapped a towel around me. I left the bathroom and went to my room , I opened my closet and took out my undergarments and put them on just as I finished putting them on the bedroom door opened. I was looking at the clothes in my closet I seriously didn't know what to wear , I felt these hands on my shoulder so I turned around - it was Joey he came closer and kissed me on my shoulder. I smiled at him he then went and sat by my bay window , he was looking at his phone , he looked so stressed out - it must be work related .

He walked out of the bedroom and I turned back to look at my closet.

I finally found an outfit ; I put on this white short lace dress - I sat on my bed and put on these royal blue ankle strap high heels . I stood up and walked to my dressing table. I blow dried my hair and left it loose I then opened my jewelry box and took out these white gold earrings with blue sapphire stones surrounding the sparking clear diamonds. I put it on and then I put on this royal blue sapphire necklace. The jewelry I'm wearing was gifted to me by my mother when I was 18 and I will always be grateful for everything she did for me. I put on eyeliner , mascara and my lipstick I'll do last.

I put my phone , wallet , cosmetic bag in my white GUESS handbag, I walked out of the bedroom and I see Joey making pancakes in the kitchen , I stop and stare - he notices me and speaks " you going to stand there all day and stare at me or are you going to get your butt down here and eat before the pancakes get cold !? "

I hurried to my seat and started eating , I noticed Joey put Nutella on my pancakes and he made me hot chocolate. I looked at him - he was sitting next to me and he looked back at me . I leaned over and kissed him on his cheek. I continued eating ; Nutella on pancakes was my absolute favorite.

After we ate , I washed our plates out and then I put on my blood red lipstick. We left the apartment together and we reached underground parking, I gave him a quick kiss and got in my car.

It was about 2 in the afternoon and then I decided to go home and pack my things.

After I packed all my things I drove to the new apartment.
*
I reached the apartment and opened the door I was extremely shocked ; it was so big and spacious. It had this beautiful white granite kitchen , a leather couch and a very big TV. I moved inside and I noticed a mini library , a gym , a balcony much bigger than mine I noticed there was 3 bedrooms , the 2 were white mixed with a little black n red . The main bedroom where Joey and I were going to be sleeping had a walk in closet, a king sized bed with a royal blue velvet duvet cover along with white pillow cases - the room was fully white , there was a dressing table which had like its own spotlights shining down on it. The bathroom had a bathtub and a shower and the color of the tiles were white. I packed my things and then I noticed this room which had a glass door , I entered it and it was a studio - on the wall my name was written so I took it to be my paint studio . I walked over to the lounge and I noticed this study.

It was almost lunch time so I decided to cook something and take it for Joey, I found the pots and pans and then I started cooking.

I made about 6 beef tacos , I made some extra just in case Jeremy wanted and I made homemade lemonade and put it in these fancy glass bottles which I brought from home. I packed the tacos in this container and I put the things I made in this brown bag.

I drove to Arthur CORPORATIONS ; I walked inside the building carrying the brown bag. The woman at the reception noticed me , I walked towards her desk . '' Hi how may I help you ? " " hi I'm here to see Joey Arthur ! '' " do you have an appointment with him ? " '' I don't need one! " " you are going to need to make an appointment then ! " I heard this guy so I turned around " Kate let her in! " the receptionist then speaks " we cant do that ! '' the guy turns to me and smiles I smile back. " You April Carrington aren't you ? " "yes I am and you are ? " " I'm Jeff , you can go up and see Joey! " '' okay um thank you ''

I walked along the office floors and as I was approaching the lift , I heard people whispering to each other- their whispers were pretty loud they were asking each other who was I and some of them were saying how beautiful I am.

I took the lift up to the first floor and when I reached I walked until I found his office. I knocked on the door and he said come in!

" Jeff can you please- " he looked up and noticed it was me " this is a surprise! " I got a phone call so I answered it:
JEREMY : " Hey April I got your number from Caroline I'm calling to ask if you perhaps can come and see Joey he is in a very bad mood - he had an outburst with this client Linda Brook ! "
APRIL : " Hey um lucky for you I'm already here ! "
JEREMY: '' Oh cool I'll be there just now ! "
APRIL : " See you then ! "

I put the phone off and I walked over to Joey's desk , I put the brown bag down.
[ JOEY'S POV ]
April entered my office and I was quite surprised , I noticed her outfit was a short white lace dress , royal blue high heels , her jewelry and lastly her makeup . Why didn't I notice this - this morning ? I got up from my seat and walked around my desk to get to her " I hope I'm not intruding ! " she asks me " you not in fact its perfect timing " she went and sat on my desk , I looked at her fair long legs and then I walked over to her and stood in between her legs , I put my hand on her chin and I kissed her - she kissed me back and her hands started untying my tie , my other hand roamed around her dress. The kiss was becoming more heated so she broke it off , she fixed my tie and then the door opened.

Jeremy came walking in and then he stopped " I'll come back later! " he was looking at me since I was standing in between April's legs , April then spoke " you don't have to you just missed the interesting part" I smirked " I brought you two gentleman lunch ! " she got of the desk and pushed past me.

Jeremy opened the brown bag on my desk and started taking everything out " thank goodness I am starving " I shot him a glare and he looked away , April smiled " you welcome Jeremy ! "

While we were eating Jeremy decides to speak " April can you perhaps cook for me every day - your food is amazing ! " " Sure I can" I speak up '' she will not cook for you Jeremy ! " " why not? '' Jeremy asks "she is my girlfriend not yours ! " Jeremy rolls his eyes " selfish bastard '' he tells me " oh ! that I am "

We finished eating and then April makes a phone call to Caroline , they were talking and then she ends the call , Jeremy then asks her where they going ? " clubbing ! '' I narrow my eyes at her " ABSOLUTELY NOT!" she looks at me '' I didn't ask for your permission" Jeremy then starts mocking me " busted! " I ignore Jeremy and focus on April " you are not going clubbing ! " she walks over to me and crosses her arms over her chest " I am and besides" she steps closer to me and whispers in my ear " don't you want to see me move around the place ! " her voice send shivers down my spine , she then kissed me on the side of my lip and walked away smirking " fine we going clubbing! " Jeremy then gives me a weird look " dude it looks like April got you twisted around her little pinkie " I sigh.
[ APRIL'S POV ]
Jeremy complimented my tacos , I took a look around Joey's office and I looked back at Joey who was busy with Jeremy- they were discussing work. Joey's office was very plain ; I noticed he had a big window overlooking the town, I walked over to the window and the view was so beautiful. I looked at the time on my phone it was 3: 45 pm - it was a pretty nice day to go for a swim down at the beach.

I turned back to look at Joey and Jeremy and I caught them staring at me " what's wrong ? '' Jeremy spoke instead " what do you think of the view ? '' I smiled " its beautiful , well I have somewhere to be so I'll see you at the club! " Joey stood up from his seat and walked over to me " why at the club? " " Caroline and I agreed on surprising you guys and then after the club she said we going to have a race so that's why I'll meet you at the club " Joey nods " interesting well let me walk you out! " I walked closer to Joey and played with his tie I then look up at him " you the CEO you shouldn't be walking me out'' " nonsense I can even be the king and I'll still walk you out - isn't that right Jeremy? '' Jeremy responds " yes you are absolutely right , our status doesn't matter when we with the woman we love" I looked at Jeremy and smiled " Jeremy I never knew you could be so wise - I mean you guys seem very old beyond your years ! " '' old ? '' '' yes you guys are very serious about a lot of things "

Joey and Jeremy walked me out and when I got out of his office - there was staff walking around , they stopped what they were doing and looked at me . Jeremy then speaks " April you know - you the gossip of this company they been trying to figure out who you are! " " I see, did they figure it out? '' " Not really! " I was about to leave when Joey grabbed my wrist I looked back to look at him and Jeremy walked ahead and greeted me before leaving. I looked at Joey and I heard how loud the staff were talking about Joey holding my wrist " you never greeted me you were just going to leave "
[ JOEY'S POV]
I walked April out of my office and she was about to leave when I stopped her , I grabbed her wrist and she looked back at me. My eyes fell on her red lips - I wanted to kiss them so badly . She noticed me staring at her lips " not now everyone is watching ! '' I looked around and indeed everyone was watching " I don't care ! " she rolled her eyes at me and sighed , she walked closer to me and I kissed her , she kissed me back . " Can I go now ? " " you may on one condition - tonight we racing together and if I win I get to decide what I want from you and if you win you get to do anything you want , deal ? " she narrowed her eyes at me and then whispered in my ear " if I lose you won't do anything to me , do we have a deal?" she kissed me on my lips and as I was about to deepen the kiss she pulled away and smirked at me " I'll think about that deal ! " " good I'll see you on the dance floor oh and if you see me dancing with a guy don't get offended its just he should know how to dance! " I became angry , no guy can touch April except me " IF YOU DANCE WITH ANOTHER GUY I'LL BEAT HIM UP UNTIL HE CAN'T SAY HIS ALPHABETHS'' she sighs "possessive boyfriend you are ! "
[ APRIL'S POV]
I was at the beach sitting on the sand while the water touched my feet; it was honestly a lovely day.

I went back to the new apartment , I entered the bathroom and I took a shower.

I walked in the walk in closet and I immediately tried finding an outfit for clubbing.
*
I put on this black glitter spilt leg bodycon dress, I put on this silver glitter diamond sparkly point toe sequin stiletto high heels. I put my hair in this messy up do bun , I did my makeup and I put on some dark matte red lipstick.

It was 6 pm and I reached the club , the guy at the door checked my ID and lets me in. " There you are!" Caroline came running to me and hugged me and I hugged her back.

Crazy in love by Beyoncé was playing, Caroline and I danced like there was no tomorrow - the guys finally joined us. I looked at Joey's outfit - he was wearing black jeans , a black shirt that showed his chest a little out , he also wore black converse shoes and he styled his hair. Jeremy went to dance with Caroline and I continued dancing even though Joey was staring at me. I totally ignored Joey and then these guys came and danced with me , Joey became angry and joined me on the dance floor.
[ JOEY'S POV ]
I noticed how HOT April looked in the dress she was wearing , I also noticed how guys were trying to get close to her so I joined her on the dance floor, I put my hands around her hips and as usual she moved away from me. I got close to her and she walked over to me - she put her hands around my neck and we kissed , she took my hand and then we danced.
[ APRIL'S POV ]
After dancing Caroline and I raced to the nearest waffle shop , I won so she had to buy me waffles!

We were eating our waffles and then the guys joined us - Joey was sitting opposite me and he was watching me so I decided to tease him. I slipped my high heel off and then I took my feet and touched his legs under the table , he noticed what I was doing and smirked , I tried lifting his shirt up with my feet and I finally succeeded , what I was doing actually affected him.
[ JOEY'S POV ]
After April succeeded in teasing me by using her feet to touch my tummy it was only fair for me to do the same to her. We raced to our apartment and she reached before me , I ran in the building and I noticed she was already in the lift. I took the stairs and I ran as fast as I could , I reached our apartment floor and she was running towards the apartment.

She ran in the apartment and I ran after her ; I entered the apartment and closed the door , she noticed me and walked backwards , I walked towards her and pulled her into me , we kissed each other and it got really heated. Our clothes were off in less than a second , her legs went around me and I carried her to the bedroom.
*
It was 8 pm and after our whole heated session I took a shower , got dressed , went to the balcony and smoked. I put my cigarette out and went to check on April.
[ APRIL'S POV]
After Joey left the room , I wrapped a towel around me and ran to the bathroom. I suddenly felt like puking and then I did in the toilet , after I puked I got in the shower.

I got out of the shower and entered the bedroom and changed into pajama's. I don't understand why I puked but there could be many reasons for that , I went and climbed in bed.
[ JOEY'S POV ]
I entered the room and I see April is already asleep , I walk over to the bed and kiss her on her forehead. I leave the room and I go to my study , I found out that the unknown calls belong to none other then Rico- I informed Jeremy of this and he said he'll handle it.

I stayed up pretty late trying to find out more about Rico and then I get this message from this unknown number :
WATCH YOUR LOVED ONES , ONE MINUTE THEY HERE NEXT THEY GONE - UNKNOWN
I then get a phone call from an unknown number , I quickly answer it :
JOEY : " What do you want Rico? "
RICO : " You spoiled the fun I was planning on using an accent but anyway let me tell you why I called - it was bad getting banned from ' Surfs Up ' and it was humiliating because a woman did that to me but let me just get straight to the point , watch your back especially since now you got a girlfriend and to my surprise its the same woman who got me banned - I'm sure you wouldn't want her to get hurt "
JOEY: { furious } " If you come near her I'll kill you , if you do something I'll be the first to know so don't even try ! "
RICO: { starts laughing very bitterly} " Give me what I want and no one has to get hurt"

Before I could respond he ends the call , b****y hell why can't I just be happy for once, I finally got back together with April and now her life is at risk.
[ APRIL'S POV ]
I ran to the bathroom and put the shower on , also the tap. I leaned down and puked in the toilet , when I was done I flushed the toilet and turned the tap off and got in the shower.

I sat on the floor in the shower and cried my eyes out - I don't know why but I suddenly felt like crying, there was a knock on the door. I turned the shower off and wrapped a towel around me , I opened the bathroom door and I noticed Joey already dressed he looked tired " you alright I thought I heard someone puking! " " I'm fine I was just coughing I think I'm getting a flu - I'll go see the doctor today ." " Okay then , take care of yourself I have to leave see you later " he kissed me on my cheek and left the room. I got dressed in these Adidas sweatpants and matching Adidas graphic short sleeved crop top hoodie sweatshirt- I put on black Adidas superstar shoes , I put my hair in a messy bun and left the room. I felt nauseous so I skipped breakfast ; I called Caroline and told her to meet me at the doctor.

I locked the apartment and walked towards the lift , I entered and noticed these 3 guys standing inside . I pressed the button for underground parking ; I could feel their stares on me then one of them spoke up . "You new here ? '' I turned to look at him and the other 2 guys were checking me out " I am are you ? '' ''not really ! "

The lift opened and I got out first , I got in my car and drove.

I went to see the doctor , she told me to do certain things and thereafter I was told that I'm pregnant . I told Caroline and she was shocked " are you going to tell Joey? '' she asks me '' I don't know if I should - he is under a lot of pressure lately . " " Well his the father he has to know! "

I drove back home and when I entered the building I noticed the same 3 guys ; I wanted to wait for the lift to go up n come down but one of the guys told me to enter as well. I entered the lift and pressed the button for the 2nd floor. I sat down on the floor and put my hands over my face - I can't believe I'm going to be a mother" hey are you alright ? " I looked up and the 3 guys were looking at me . I got up and the lift door finally opened. I walked to the apartment and once I was inside I went and laid on the couch. I fell asleep and then I heard the door opening I opened my eyes- I looked at my phone it was 4 pm. Joey entered the apartment he looked tried as hell.

I went to his study , he was busy with work " Joey I uh " I was really unsure about telling him " I'm going for a walk , okay !? " " Must I join you? " '' NO! its fine "

I went to the nearest café and when I was returning home I noticed these cars following me- I parked my car, entered the building , got in the lift and then this big guy entered - I noticed he had a g*n. He kept on coming close to me , I couldn't take it anymore I kicked him in his tummy and also where the sun doesn't shine, I pulled his g*n out and emptied it - the bullets fell on the floor and yeah in case you wondering I took defense classes " why are you targeting me ? " " its not me its my boss ! " '' who ? " " Rico Johnson!" " Well give him a message for me - if he comes near me I'll kill him and I'll find his sister and make sure she pays for what he'll do to me " I walked out of the lift and entered the apartment , I went to Joey's study he was smoking while working. " Joey I have to tell you something '' " I'm listening" he wasn't looking at me so I repeated and yet he wasn't looking at me so I spoke louder " JOEY ARTHUR I HAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING ! " this time he looks at me " someone tried to kill me in the lift but I left him broken instead - Rico is after me but I blackmailed him instead and I found out I'm pregnant ! "
[ JOEY'S POV ]
When April mentioned she blackmailed Rico I was shocked but I was extremely shocked when she said she's pregnant. I got up from my seat and walked around the table , I sat on my desk smoking my cigarette and looking at April " I can understand if you want to bail ! ''did she just say that ?! " I'm not going to bail on you I want to do this ! '' yeah its shocking hearing you going to be a father but I'm not going to bail on her - I love her and I'll do anything for her. April walked out of the study , I put the cigarette out and followed her , I entered the bedroom she was undressing. I went behind her and she turns around , I took her hands and kissed it , I leaned over and kissed her on her lips I thought she would pull away but instead she pulled my shirt to get closer, after we kissed I looked into her eyes and she looked back at me " April I love you so much and I'll do everything to protect you and the baby and that's a promise"
