Five I walked through a decently lit corridor where cheerful voices of men and women echoed in-between the walls. “You landed a pretty good hit.” “I love how the new toys shoot, faster than I can think.” “Precise, to be sure.” The voices sounded drunk. “Let me get dressed and we can turn this boring bar evening into a party of the century!” a female voice behind me shouted. It was Sarah, a soldier I trained and lived with in these apartment buildings next to the governmental building complex. It was like living in a luxurious dorm room. Why I thought of a dorm room I was not sure, it wasn’t like I had ever lived in one. I had always been a soldier and had dedicated my life to the Global Peace army. “Adama, you’re coming, right?” one of my buddies said and tapped me on the shoulder.
