Voices erupted from the crowd here and there, words of approval. The people started reacting, stirring, getting louder. Amira still scanned the fire, and while the old man talked, I saw sudden horror and insight fill her eyes. “But the gods were angry with Prometheus. They condemned him to eternal punishment.” The rough voice softened, as if in warning. “Chained to a rock of a mountain he hung for ages, suffering for our good, for what he had done for mankind.
