Twenty I bathed in utter darkness. Weightless. No gravity pulling me down or up. Just darkness swallowing me, a pool made of dark waters, cutting off my breath. I suffocated. With a sudden flash, the darkness faded, and I stood at the stones. This time, I was alone, touching the cold rock with my hands. Only those were not my hands. The skin was wrinkled, older, yet much more delicate. This was the memory of another. The most current memory buried in the stones. The memory of a woman. Her fascination with those stones flooded my whole heart while the sun slowly set behind the great monolith.
