Xander (POV)
I watched as Jazmine left the office with Nancy. I didn't like that Rick asked her to leave. I didn't want her out of my sight. So when the door closed, I turned to Rick with a little more attitude than was probably necessary.
"What is it you need to speak to me about that could not wait?" I hissed.
"Alpha, my apologies. I did not mean to upset you." He was staring into my eyes. I knew he was seeing my wolf. "I just, well Sir, she is human." he huffed out. "We do not allow humans at this school unless they are mated to a wolf or, on rare occasions, are born from wolves, but do not carry the gene themselves."
