"We're here!" Chunk said into the mind link.
"Okay, we will be out in a second."
"Our guard's here, are you ready?" I asked Jazmine, not wanting to let her go. After what she told me about how she was feeling about Matilda, I couldn't help the nagging feeling I was having. If she was feeling this way, something was definitely off about the whole situation. If there was one thing I knew, it was to trust your gut feelings. I had learned that time and time again.
"Yes," Jazmine said, pulling away and standing up. My arms felt cold the second she was out of them. I stood up and put the book back on the shelf. The walls instantly started to shift, the shield going back into place. I walked back over to Jazmine and took her hand, then kissed the top of her head.
