By Monday, life in the McKenna household had returned to normal. Leila liked to think it was better than their regular because, though the rest of last week had been uneventful, Kelvin went out on Saturday morning and returned home for lunch. A late lunch, but they ate lunch and dinner together. They even managed to watch the first episode of the Chinese drama Freya introduced to her, and it hadn’t felt awkward when he held her.
Sunday was the same. He didn’t have any meetings, so they were mostly indoors. The hours had passed too fast, and she wasn’t looking forward to being apart from him after spending so many hours together like a real couple.
Today was the day Kelvin signed the contract and legally bound her to continuous meetings with Charles. She wasn’t sure how she would handle
