Several shadows slunk across the manor grounds under the darkness of the new moon. There were only seven, each wearing tight black clothing with hoods and masks covering their faces. When they reached the rose garden, five of the seven dispersed, leaving only two to pick open the ornate glass doors of the garden terrace. "Hurry up," Kirin muttered to herself, fiddling with the metal pick. Each rake of the pick failed to set the pins and she could feel her cheeks burning in the cold night air. "I swear if this lock doesn't-" A gratifying click came from the lock as it finally surrendered to Kirin.
