He hurriedly cleared his table and rushed outside.
"Hey, food's here! Where are you heading off to again?"
Jacob ran right into Susan in his rush. He had almost knocked over the tray of food she had been holding.
"Are you alright?" Jacob asked, quickly steadying her before she could fall.
"I'm fine. Where are you off to in such a hurry?" Susan asked in surprise.
"I have something urgent to attend to. You guys can eat first. Don't wait up for me," Jacob said as he made his way towards the exit.
"What could he possibly have going on? I bet he's going on another date with someone else," Susan mumbled glumly to herself.
"Susan, don't look so dejected. You know how he is most of the time... Come on, let's go eat," Molly said and grabbed Susan's arm to leave as well.
