Dungeon and Dragons - A Chance at Adventure

375 Words
(-) swiftly opened the box, around them their 'club-mates' had already began to bring out their leather books. (-) couldnt help but smile as they looked around at their playmates, sure they were 29; but that doesnt mean they didn't know what it's like to have fun and, although they were anxious about if they were going to be a good teammate in a game they had never played before. They were sure others wouldn't judge them - as all of them were doing this for the first time. (-) eyes widened in amazement at the items in the box, and for a second they felt guilty of making their character rather complicated, but that feeling soon washed away once they saw one of their teammates pull out entire pieces of armor, and from the sounds it was more or less real. Shutting their open mouth shut, they decided to mind their own business. Inside their own box was a leather book and a plain brown quil pen, which was autistically made after their character. It was a book to be used to keep up with the story, although it wasnt a rule it was advised to be used for recording purposes only. Other than that the box held the role-play items that would go with their characters, down to the undergarments. Despite their former guilt (-) couldn't help but feel giddy at the designs. Turning around to express this to the others, who surely felt the same, (-) was left in shocked to find that they seem to be the only one here, even the changerooms were silent and seemly empty. A sharp stabbing hurt resonated from within as they bitterly tried to quench it. They were strangers, absolute strangers. Why would they feel the need to wait and get to know each other? But deep down (-) couldn't help but want their company. Feeling their excitement drizzle out, (-) yanked the box into their own changing room, pushing past the curtains to hastly straped the cosplay on. Feeling it fit snuggly, (-) turned around, looking at themselves in the mirror, the gem that had been stuck to their head glowed ominously in the mirror, the light shining brighter before swallowing (-) figure whole.
