LANA RETURNED TO the library the next day, again wearing the dress she had borrowed from Selwa. Apparently Selwa had worn it in her youth, although the slender sizing made it hard to believe that it had ever fitted her.
At first, the astrologer wasn’t there and she had a good look through the old observations, going back much further than the time of Sizek.
Those books were extremely old, and some had pages so brittle that she needed to be extremely careful that they didn’t fall apart. She made a lot of notes.
In the very old days, the astrologers did a lot more drawing of stars than writing. She assumed that not as many people could read or write in those days, and loosely-bound books of artworks were popular. It amazed Lana how these very early works included detailed meas
