A Dance to Remember 💃💋 (Falling Helplessly) Chapter Thirteen and Fourteen **************"********* A small room. The woman, adorned in a large hat, after leaving the previous room, had walked straight into this one. The room was a mess, with packs of drugs littered all over the floor. A tray lay close to the bed, cluttered with packs of cigarettes. The room looked very unkempt, with different pictures scattered about. However, one picture stood out - an old photo of a young man, handsome to be precise. She moved closer to the picture, her fingers trailing over the glass, and then she laughed like a lunatic. "I don't regret killing you, and I won't," she hissed, her voice dripping with venom. "I will watch you die over and over again, as long as I don't watch someone take you away from me." Her voice cracked, and she sighed, her tone suddenly laced with sadness. "I loved you, why did you betray me?" she whispered, her words barely audible. She took a knife and stabbed the picture, the blade sinking into the glass. She dropped it back onto the bed, her eyes flashing with anger. "I hope Satan tortures you well enough there in hell," she spat, her words venomous. And then, she fell to the floor, her head bowed to the ground, her body shaking with sobs. As she lay there, memories flooded her mind - memories of the way he used to smile, the way he used to hold her hand. She remembered the laughter, the tears, the whispered promises. But most of all, she remembered the betrayal. The pain was still raw, still festering, and it seemed to consume her very being. She slowly got up, her eyes fixed on the picture. She took a deep breath, and her expression twisted into a snarl. "You will never be free," she whispered, her voice dripping with malice. "I will haunt you, even in death." And with that, she turned and walked out of the room, leaving the picture, and the memories, behind. *********"**********"******* Berkshire High School Cathy strolled into Berkshire High School, and she couldn't stop admiring the school. "It's obvious this way," she said, leading Cathy to the exam hall. As they entered the hall, Cathy was taken aback by the number of people – about a hundred students, all vying for a limited number of spots. "Funny enough, it's just 20 people getting admitted," the woman explained. "Fifteen people will receive a 50% discount on school fees, and five more people, like you, will get a 100% scholarship – that's a full discount." The woman led Cathy to a seat, and Cathy gave her a grateful smile. "The exam is CBT-based," the woman informed her, before turning to help another student. Cathy took a deep breath, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as she prepared to take the exam. ***********"***********"*** An hour later, Cathy came out of the exam hall, her mind a mix of fear and excitement. "What could be her score? Or chances of getting into the school?" she thought, feeling a bit anxious. "Mehn, I need help," she muttered to herself. As she walked out of the school gates, she felt like strolling around the school, taking in the sights and sounds. But she hadn't been admitted yet, and she didn't want to risk ruining anything. "Geez," she thought, deciding it was best to wait until the results were out. She dipped her hands into her pockets, expecting to find some money for transportation. But to her dismay, her pockets were empty. "f**k!" she cursed, her face scrunling up in frustration. "My money!" she thought, frowning. How was she supposed to get home now? "Why me?" she muttered, starting to walk the distance back home. As she walked, the sun beat down on her, making her feel even more irritated. She quickened her pace, her feet aching in her worn-out boots. until she almost bumped into someone. "Hey, watch where you're going!" a voice called out, and Cathy apologized unknowingly, feeling a bit frustrated and angry. She took a deep breath and continued walking, trying to shake off her frustration, she isn't in the mood to query f*****g soul. As she walked, she thought about her life and how this scholarship could change everything. She imagined herself in the school's uniform, attending classes, and making new friends. The thought gave her a surge of determination. She would get into this school, no matter what it took atleast to make her mother proud. *********"******"********* Nexarion Limited Canteen.
