CARA'S POV
"I need you to leave my body right now!" Maya's voice echoed within me while I stood and nearly fell. But Alpha Dane caught me halfway and lifted me up, his hands above my shoulders sending a calming connection to my brain, which enabled me to control the power that was within me.
"Are you alright?" Dane asked, his voice laced with concern as he put his hands around me.
I could see Lucian's eyes filled with rage, his two hands clenched together like a wolf ready to attack its prey.
"I am alright now, thank you," I said, my voice soft yet firm.
Immediately I got a grip of myself, and I began to do what I had wanted to do. I lifted up the gift and made the right announcement.
