CARA'S POV "They didn't have to be the killer to kill; they didn't have to hold the knife before they stabbed my heart!" The water had long turned icy, but I didn't move. I stayed there, curled into myself in the bathtub, arms locked around my knees as if they were the only thing holding me together. My skin prickled from the cold, but the chill inside me was far worse. Their faces haunted me; those wicked, merciless eyes burned into my mind like scars that would never fade. They didn't have to touch me to kill me; they'd already done it with their cruelty, their silence, and their hunger to see me break.
