CARA'S POV
My heart skipped as I remained frozen in surprise as Ryker's words washed over me. At first, I thought it was just a trick of the light, but as I watched him, I realized he truly knew me.
"I know you're Cara," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "I watched as your blue eyes glow; it's the sign I'm supposed to see."
My mind reeled as I tried to process how he knew my true identity. I had been so careful, warned by the moon goddess herself not to reveal my secret to anyone. But Ryker seemed to know, and his explanation only added to the mystery.
