More than a deal

CHAPTER FIVE

KAEL: We are here, at your new home.

Lena eyes widened as she saw the house.

LENA: House? This is literally a mansion, and you call this a house. Umm…not bad.

Adjusting herself to keep steeze and composure.

KAEL: I like how you are trying to keep your steeze and composure.

LENA: giggles Can we go now.

KAEL: Wait……

He said as he got out to open the car door, but not for her to get out but to carry her.

LENA: What are you doing, I can walk by myself.

KAEL: My grandma will be out very soon, and if she sees that her future grand daughter-in-law is walking barefooted, she’ll give me an earful I’m not ready for. So just corporate with me, every girl wants to be in my arms, so since you have the chance don’t miss it.

Lena had more to say, but preferred to keep quiet for a reason she herself didn’t figure out.

As they approach the door, Kael’s grand ma, miss Hernandez shows up to welcome them.

MISS HERNANDEZ: Oh here is my grandson… and who do we have here.

KAEL: Nana, you said you wanted a grand daughter-in-law, so I got you one.

MISS HERNANDEZ: Oh, she’s so pretty, what’s her name and what’s she doing in your arms?

LENA: Lena Manters. Actually my heel broke and your grandson insisted on carrying me to avoid an earful from you.

MISS HERNANDEZ: Nice name. And Kael that’s so thoughtful of you, indeed you did grow up to be a gentleman. Well you must be tired, let’s get inside and freshen up.

They all went inside and finally Kael put Lena down. She gazed around the whole massion as if it was covered in gold.

KAEL: Let me show you your room.

LENA: Sure.

Lena follows Kael upstairs and is mesmerized by the aesthetic décor around her. Pictures of Kael and his grandma are hanged all over the place.

Kael then opens a door to a big room with a queen sized bed with a pleasing and comfortable aesthetic design and décor. So much for just a room.

KAEL: My room is right next to yours, just incase you need anything, you can visit. So now freshen up and come downstairs for dinner, I can see you are quiet furnished.

LENA: smiles Sure and… thanks for everything.

Kael nodded and left the room. Lena then threw herself on the bed, as if she just got home from a long vacation.

LENA: This place is not that bad, and his grandma is actually very nice, agreeing for this deal is one of my best decision so far. Oh shoot… I haven’t even called mom and dad. I have to inform them.

Lena then called her parents and told them about the whole plan, they weren’t happy with it, but Lena managed to convince them. She then freshened up and went down for dinner.

KAEL: What took you so long?

LENA: I was talking to my parents, I had to inform them that I was at my fiancé’s house.

KAEL: Oh I see…and are they ok with it.

LENA: Yeah, they are… as long as you take good care of me.

MISS HERNANDEZ: He’ll surely take good care of you, not only him, I’ll also take good care of you, after all you’ll be the woman of the house very soon.

Lena smiled and then served herself. They chatted for a while and Lena got to know Miss Hernandez and vice versa. After that Miss Hernandez’ maid came for her to bed.

LENA: I really like your grandma. She’s very interesting.

KAEL: Yeah, very and I can see she’s getting used to you already.

He got up and went closer to Lena.

KAEL: Get ready to be Mrs. Hernandez then. But before that I think I’ll have to make you fall in love with me, it won’t be easy with your stubborn nature but it’s worth the try.

LENA: Shouldn’t it be the other way round.

He then got closer.

KAEL: What if I’m already starting to, you are very beautiful to be honest, and I don’t say this often, so I mean it.

At this point Lena could feel his breath and he was so close to her that she could feel his heartbeat, she couldn’t help but blush, making Kael smirk.

He finally stepped back and went back to what he was doing.

KAEL:You can go to bed now, you have a big task ahead and I also have some work to do. If you need anything I’ll still be here.

LENA: Nope. You are not working, look at the time plus today has been a very long day for you, the least you can do is rest.

Lena said as she closed his laptop and took it from him.

KAEL: You’re already performing your wife duties. I like that

LENA: If that’ll make you go to bed then yes. So now get up and walk to your room and sleep.

KAEL: sighs But don’t follow me, or else I might keep you with me.

Lena smiled and shook her head as she led the way. She went to her room as Kael went to his. Lena couldn’t stop thinking about how close Kael was to her and Kael couldn’t stop thinking about how caring she was.
