I don"t tell Mona about the fake boyfriend thing. She"ll probably support me and everything, but I"m a little embarrassed that it"s the best lie I could come up with. I ignore half of the flat doors, knowing what number I need to go to. It"s surprisingly easy to find out where someone lives. The administration may take the view that its private information, but students themselves don"t. A few easy questions and I know his room number. I hope he"s in, or I"m going to look like a little bit of a fool, and that"s never fun. The bronze twenty-six on the front of the next door pulls me up short. This is the one.
