"Alright, we have a vampire," I announce, dropping myself down onto the seat next to Ryan.
Shock crosses his face. "Come again?"
"We have a vampire who will take us down into the catacombs and the library we need." I try not to feel too smug about it, but I can"t help it. There"s something satisfying about taking him by surprise already. Maybe that"s immature of me, but we"re twins, he"ll do the same to me when he experiences the same.
"How did you manage that?"
"Heath says he"ll show us." I shrug, skipping over the part where I have no idea how or why he changed his mind. I"m just going with it and am hoping that Heath will do the same when he"s with us. Most likely, he will, especially as he hasn"t exactly been forthcoming about his reasoning to me in the first place.
