SOPHIA'S POV
"Thank you." I said to Sir Drew as I stepped out of the car.
"I could wait and take you back if you want."
"Never mind. My husband should be home now. We'll go back together."
I came down and walked straight into the house. I fell on the chair, weak. What happened today was unexpected and it sapped my strength.
"Babe!" I called but no one answered me.
I looked at the time and it was some minutes past 8pm.
"Where is Lucas?" I asked to myself, sniffing.
Tanya came out with a plate of prepared sweet potato balls, just like what we usually eat. But I had no appetite for food.
"Where is Lucas?" I asked again.
"He's not back ma'am."
"He's not back? Don't you mean he came back and went somewhere else?"
"No ma'am. He's not returned since he left this morning."
