The Mysterious Case of One-Pose Disorder
Everyone in town knew Bella. Not because she was famous, rich, or had won any awards. No, Bella was famous for something much more unusual.
Bella had a rare condition called One-Pose Disorder.
Nobody knew exactly when it started. Some people said it happened when she took her first selfie. Others believed she was simply born that way. Whatever the reason, Bella could only pose on one side.
Every. Single. Time.
When someone pulled out a camera, Bella would instantly turn her head 37 degrees to the right, place one hand on her hip, stick out one foot, and smile.

Same pose.
School picture day?
Same pose.
Birthday party?
Same pose.
Family reunion?
Same pose.
Passport photo?
Well... she tried the same pose until the officer told her she needed to face forward.
Bella took pictures all the time. She had thousands of photos on her phone. The problem was that they all looked exactly the same.
One day her friend Maya decided to test her.
"Okay, Bella," Maya said. "For this picture, pose differently."
Bella nodded confidently.
"Of course."
The camera came out.
Immediately, Bella's body spun to the right like it was controlled by invisible magnets.
Hand on hip.
Foot out.
Smile.
Click.
"That's the same pose!" Maya laughed.
"No, it's different," Bella argued.
"How?"
"This time I blinked."
Her friends tried everything. They asked her to pose on the left side. She couldn't. They asked her to face straight ahead. She started sweating. They even asked her to pose upside down.
She somehow managed to do her regular pose upside down.
The town became fascinated. A local photographer challenged her to a "Different Pose Contest."
Bella arrived confidently.
The first photo?
Same pose.
Second photo?
Same pose.
Third photo?
Same pose while holding a sandwich.
The judges debated for hours.
Finally, they awarded her first place for "Most Consistent Human Being."
Bella was thrilled.
To celebrate, she took a picture with her trophy.
Guess what pose she used?
The same one.
Of course.
The next day, Bella posted all 247 photos from the celebration online. Nobody could tell they were different pictures, but she insisted they were. After all, in one photo she was holding the trophy with her left hand instead of her right. For Bella, that was called "trying something new."
