Episode 10

Liliah. I swallowed hard and gently took off my miserable night dress, striping before Dante. He gazed at me for a while. I couldn't tell what was on those hazel eyes of his but they were seductive as f**k. I wanted to keep it together. I can't believe I slapped him earlier yet finding myself here. Dante carefully pulled off his suit from his jacket to his trousers, removing every single thing. My lips formed a thin line when his c**k dangled out. He stretched out his hand and I took it while he led me to the shower.. Dante took the shower gel, rubbed it on my t**s, massaged it slowly without saying a word then he turned on the shower, letting the warm water hit our skin together. He used the sponge to scrub my back and every part of my body delicately. I would be lying if I said his care didn't move me at least. He helped me shower thoroughly then carried me out of the bathroom. Dante grabbed a towel and gently began wiping me dry. I couldn't help but let out a small giggle as he ruffled the towel over my damp strands. To my surprise... He chuckled too but it was soft and brief. The first genuine laugh I'd ever heard from him. That moment lingered before silence settled between us again. He cleared his throat. "You can finish up." He walked over to the wardrobe, slid it open, and pulled out one of his neatly folded shirts. After I finished drying myself, he returned and held the shirt out to me. Then, with a slight flick of his wrist, he tossed it into my hands. "Need help with that too?" he asked, one brow lifting in amusement. I looked up at him. For the first time since we'd met, the cold, unreadable expression he always wore was gone. Instead, there was something lighter... Something almost warm and somehow... It suited him even more."You should laugh more, you know." I twitched my lips into a small smile. He didn't respond. Instead, he quietly got dressed. "What do you want for lunch?" he asked. "I don't think you've eaten." By then, I had already changed into his shirt. "I don't know," I admitted. I genuinely didn't know. I had been starving earlier, but now I couldn't even think of what I wanted to eat. "I want to make you something, bunny." He flashed me a quick wink. "Maybe then you'll see I'm a bit useful." A laugh escaped my lips. "Don't stress yourself. Let the maids do it." He rolled his eyes. "Do I need to carry you, or can you walk by yourself?" "I have legs!" I protested, pointing at them. Why was my heart fluttering so much? I hadn't laughed this genuinely in such a long time. Before I could finish proving my point, Dante bent down and effortlessly scooped me into his arms. "What are you doing?" I laughed, lightly swatting his shoulder. He ignored my protest and carried me downstairs. When we reached the dining room, he carefully set me down on one of the dining chairs."What's your favorite, Mrs. Liliah Hills?" he asked. "I'm good with anything," I replied. "Oh, I see then." With that, he headed into the kitchen. I couldn't tell what he was making, but I found myself watching him anyway. There was something strangely calming about seeing a man like Dante standing in a kitchen instead of a boardroom. After a while, he returned carrying two plates. He had made creamy chicken pasta with garlic bread and a fresh salad on the side. "Wow..." I clapped my hands in excitement as he placed the plate in front of me. "Here you go, bunny." "Thank you," I murmured, my eyes stinging. "You're welcome." He pulled out the chair opposite mine and sat down. I picked up the cutlery and took my first bite. A tear slipped down my cheek. I didn't think anyone had ever cared for me like this. Not my parents, not Ian. Ian had never cared whether I'd eaten, whether I'd slept, or whether I had showered. To my parents, I was simply the daughter who could save them from their debt. "Let me guess..." Dante said softly, watching me struggle between eating and crying. "You're happy?" "I think... yes," I answered, my voice cracking. "You deserve everything, bunny. You don't deserve to be treated like shit." He paused before adding, "I think you should divorce Ian." I slowly looked up at him. "I've always wanted to." I lowered my gaze again. "I just don't have a choice. This is for my family." "I can help you, bunny." I hesitated. Why did he seem so invested in me? Was it genuine… Or was there something else behind it? "Why?" I finally asked. "Why do you want to help me? Is it because of the hatred you have for Ian?" I held his gaze. "I genuinely don't want to participate in whatever game you two are playing. If the reason you're doing all this is to get back at Ian..."I slowly shook my head. "Count me out.” He stayed silence for a moment before he spoke. "If all I wanted was revenge..." He leaned back in his chair. "I'd have destroyed him the day I came back." "You're not my revenge, bunny. You're just someone who deserves better." I stopped eating for a moment, absentmindedly fidgeting with my fingers beneath the table. "I do hate Ian, but this has nothing to do with hating him. I know he doesn't deserve you. He's a coward who can't even stand by his own words." I looked up at him. "So how are you going to help me?" A slow smile spread across his face. "First..." He rested his elbows on the table. "I'm going to make sure Ian loses the little control he thinks he has over you." I furrowed my brows. "From today..." He held my gaze. "You'll start sleeping in my room.”
