“Slowest damned romance in the history of time,” Jon grumbled a month later. Mike and Sage had gone out to dinner or the movies several times since what Jon called ‘The Kiss’, and eaten supper at Sage’s place once. Each time the evening had ended with hugs and a few kisses, and nothing more. The same thing happened when Mike checked in with Sage after Sage had been at a murder site. “It’s like they’re waiting for the next…blue moon or something before taking the final step. “You know,” Brody replied, “how fast they move really isn’t any of your business.” “But I’m a romantic at heart.” “You’re nosy, at heart,” Brody retorted, rolling his eyes. “That, too. Still, I want their happily ever after to happen—like yesterday. They’re not like us. They don’t have all the time in the world.”
