Chapter 10 Something was definitely afoot. Charles sat in the breakfast room eating his customary toast and sipping his tea. Farrah was quiet in the extreme over dinner, and even allowing for a touch of sunburn and a bruised hand, he retired ridiculously early and barely spoke through the entire meal. Usually, he couldn’t get a word in. Farrah was always such an energetic, entertaining companion at dinner to have him morose and silent was worrying. For the life of him, Charles couldn’t imagine what the problem was.
