THIRTY-FOUR “My wife,” Brian whispered gently in Angie’s ear as they walked through the sand, the smell of delightful salt air drifting into their nostrils. Angie smiled. “My husband.” Hand in hand, they walked through the sand toward the condo. Angie looked up at Brian. “Are you relieved?” “Yes, but in a good way.” “I’m so glad to hear you say that. Me, too.” “All the planning and hoopla, I’m glad that’s over,” he said, trying not to kick sand onto Angie’s dress. “Oh, you have no idea. I can breathe again. We can put all this wedding stuff behind and start our life as a married couple.” Angie beamed when she said the last words.
