Chapter Thirteen

I came out of the shower and jumped on the bed. It's only 10, but I need to sleep early so that I wake up early because tomorrow we are going to our family temple to hold a puja for my married life and Di's health and child.

I was scrolling through insta feed when w******p notification popped up. It was an unknown number with no profile photo. I opened the message to see a hi.

I tapped on his profile and scrolled to see the name.

Rehan Malhotra

I don't know why or how, I suddenly felt my cheeks heating. Stop blushing stupid Aadhya.

I sent him a hello back.

He saw the and it says he's typing. I bite my lips in anticipation. Do I have that bridal glow or something. Noo..my marriage is not even fixed yet.

Then!!

Oh god do I love him. Noo

Maybe, ya just a crush on my senior.

We have 7 years age gap, that means when I was in 1st he was in uhm, oh god, he was in 8th.

But I seriously don't mind the age gap. I'm a person who thinks couple should have age gap, because when they grow old, both men and women will have same facial changes but of they are of the same age, women gets aged fast so there is kinda, you know. But it's only my opinion.

You don't need age to live happily.

It's been 2 minutes still there's no reply. But it says he's online. I took the next and send him a gif of waving. He saw the message but no reply. Why mahn?

That was when a knock came up. I opened the door to see a nervous Bhabhi.

'Jhanvi's water broke'

It was all then a hurry. It was 11:30 PM and me mom dad bhai and bhabhi went to the hospital with Di.

Di and Nikhil stays in Australia, but when she was pregnant jiju came along with her and kept her in India because they both were afraid and didn't know how to deal alone with their newborn without any elders support. Di stayed in his house and came to our house in the last trimester.

Jiju used to visit her every two month cause he cannot stay away from her. Both of them are so cute and I adore them.

Jiju was supposed to be here day after tomorrow and we have already informed him so he'll be back tomorrow, hopefully.

I was about to message Aadhya when a loud scream interrupted me. I kept the phone in the bed and ran to see Ved lying downstairs and crying in pain. He must've fell from the stairs.

Everyone soon came and I helped him to sit on the couch. I tried to check his leg, but he didn't allowed me to touch. You know everyone is afraid of their when they're hurt. What if the sibling take advantage of the situation.

Mom checked him and said we need to go to the hospital. That's when mom's phone started ringing. Dad came and we picked him and started walking towards the porch. I asked Liya to bring my phone and mom said she's too coming because there's an emergency.

Since mom is a gyno, she gets calls at midnight too. Since Daadi, Rhea and Liya will be alone, we asked Sanjay to stay in our house.

We reached the hospital and took Ved to casualty. There is a scratch on the bone so he was being getting dressed. Dad asked me to see Mom and look if she's busy.

We own this hospital, Rakesh Memorial Hospital or RMH. My grandfather was uneducated so he had this dream of making his son a doctor, but he couldn't see it. So when Dad became a doctor, he made this hospital in the memory of Daada.

I was walking towards the labour room when I spotted Arjun. He was trying to call someone and I went near him.

'Hey' I forwarded him my hand and he shook it with a shock-turned-smile face.

'Hi Rehan!'

'Why are you here? What happened?' I asked him and he forwarded me to the left where his whole family was sitting. Yep, Aadhya was there too. But of course I can't show that happiness infront of her brother.

'Jhanvi had labour pain'

Oh, ya Aadhya's sister. So this was why mom came.

'Her actual doctor can't come so we're a bit worried and on top Nikhil, Jhanvi's husband, isn't taking calls' He said as we walked towards his family.

'Yah, Don't worry, Mom has come' He looked surprised

'Mom is a gynocologist. She was called now, saying there's an emergency'

Arjun looked relieved and as we reached near the family, tey turned towards us. Especially you know who.

'Rehan's mother is doing Jhanvi's delivery' Arjun said to everyone and they all looked happy.

I smiled at them and greeted everyone and raised my eyebrows at Aadhya, acknowledging her.

She wore a black top and red kurti, with her long hair sprawled, she was looking breathtaking. 

I was then interrupted by my dad's call. I attended it and told him Aadhya's family is here and he came to this side. We all were talking about Ved and everything when I saw Aadhya going with her niece, uhm, Sameera I think.

'I'll bring tea' I said and walked infront of Mehra's but ran when they were out of my sight. I saw them getting on the elevator and I don't know if I have ever ran this much, but I did ran fast and stopped the elevator. She passed me a smile and I returned her one back heartedly.

'What happened to Ved?' She asked me as I closed the elevator.

'Fell from the stairs. There is a scratch so he'll be in bed for some weeks I think' I said and she nodded at me.

'Oh' She mumbled and then after that we didn't had anything to talk. So we stayed there with Sameera.

We reached the third floor and went to the cafeteria. We have 24hr service here.

'What do you want?' I asked ruffling Sameera's hair and she clutched Aadhya's hand in shyness. Aadhya laughed. Oh mahn, that laugh.

I'm really falling for her.

'She wants a plum cake' Aadhya said looking at the cafeteria. There was only some things, because of the time.

'Everyone drinks tea right?' I asked Aadhya and she nodded.

'Do you want something?'

She had a look of surprise and nodded.

'A Snickers'

'Me too' Sameera jumped happily eating her cake.

'But don't tell papa, okay?' Aadhya looked at her, who said yes with a serious face.

She's a chocolate girl, god. I took the tea and both the girls started eating chocolate.

'Eat as much as you want coz you won't get much after our wedding'

'What' She looked flabbergasted and I smiled at her.

'Im an anti-chocolate guy. I don't buy chocolate to anyone. The last time I bought chocolate home was when my friend gifted me with it. What do you guys actually get eating this' I asked her and she ignored me and got on the elevator.

'If I eat infront of you, then only there's problem right?'

I looked at her as we got down on the floor.

'Dont worry, I'll eat behind you' She laughed and I looked shocked at her. She's not innocent as she seems.
