Chapter Sixteen

'Why the hell did I run?' Ved groaned covering his face.

'Hey, you get the VIP treatment so no worries' Sanjay said laying on the couch.

'One side that's okay, but it's my brother's engagement this week and I can't stand on my own feet' Ved said and stamped his foot on the ground.

'Maaaa' He cried and we laughed at his antics.

'Can't you push your engagement' He asked looking at me and I nodded no.

'I really didn't knew I was going to get married this fast. But I don't want to lose her" I smiled thinking about her. "I think she's the one, so no delaying'

'Love is in the air, ha' Sanjay laughed hitting my arm.

'Who's talking. "Mom, please please tell dad to talk with Anvi's parents. Mom please mom otherwise they'll get her married to some ugly bad guy, please Mom. If you do that, I'll be a good guy from tomorrow. Please mom"' said Ved and we started laughing at Sanjay.

He threw the cushion at me and looked at Ved 'Only one of your leg is broken, I'll take the next one' He glared at both of us and we his our laugh.

Sanjay was so no is in love with Anu that he fall on Chachi's feet and begged her to make Chacha talk with her father. It was a sight to see. Even though everyone felt it emotional me Ved Liya and Rahul(Sanjay's brother) were covering our face and laughing hard.

Anu aka Anvi was our junior by 3 years and they got together in a relationship when we were in 12th. Then It's now a really strong affair and then, her father started searching proposals for her. She was scared to tell her father the truth and so he begged Chachi, Daadi and Mom to make Chacha talk with her father. Things went well and they're engaged.

'Badi maa we came' Jiya screamed entering the house. She is Sanjay's youngest sister.

Both she and Rhea are of same age and born on the same day. And these both make hell of a team in everything.

'Trust me this girl will make me deaf one day' Sanjay muttered to me.

'And what do you think about that Maharani' I asked pointing towards Rhea, coming down the stairs. We high-fived each other and the girls looked at us.

'Rehan bhayya, Sanju bhayya it's bad to talk ill about others. When Dad comes, I'll tell him about you too' Gia said and we folded our hands to her.

Mom came out with Liya and started to talk with Chachi. They all are going to pick Aadhya to take her engagement dress and jewelleries. In our family we buy the dress for the bride.

'Is your debit card ready to leak' Sanjay laughed seeing Liya coming near. She held her hands out and I gave her the card.

'Please don't make me bankrupt' I said to all the ladies. Since she's my bride i want to buy the dress for her and since this is my wedding I want to buy the dress for everyone. And I didn't want to tell the number to my sister because she already knows!

'Anu came?' Asked mom to Chachi and she nodded no.

'She's on the way' Liya said and Sanjay looked puzzled.

'Is she coming?' He asked and mom nodded yes.

'Incase you need some manly help, can I come' He asked and she nodded no.

I held him by his shoulders and shook him. 'You're gonna be fine' I said and laughed.

He huffed and looked at the ladies who too laughed at his antics.

'Im here' Anu came running. I threw her the car key and she looked at Sanjay.

'What's wrong with him?' She asked.

'It's there from birth' Chachi said and they all laughed at him. I again shook him by his shoulders and he hit my head with the cushion.

'It's hard, I know. But I really wish you to get married and go out of this hell.' Maa said as she caressed my hairs.

I hugged her tightly and cried.

'I know my daughter won't do any wrong and I trust you more than myself. Your father is blinded by Daadi and his brother. You don't care about them. Just think about yourself.' She wiped my tears and cupped my cheeks.

'I talked with his mother in the hospital. She is a really a nice woman. She told me that she's happy to get a new daughter. And I know they'll love you like their own. They won't let you be locked like here, they'll push you to follow your dreams. And more than all of that I know he likes you and you-' She held my hands and touched the bracelet.



I smiled and nodded at her. I know he'll be nothing like my Dad and that he's the one.

'Maa they're here' Bhabhi said standing near the door.

Mom gave me a kiss on the forehead and went downstairs to greet them. Bhabhi came and hugged me.

'You are fine' She said wiping my tears and pushed me to the bathroom to clean my face.

I ran downstairs and there was his mom, his sisters, his Chachi, his cousin and another girl. I greeted them and before I could touch his mom's feet she pulled me into a hug.

'This is how mother-daughter greets' She said breaking the hug.

'And I know you didn't understand me, I'm Anvi, Sanjay's fiancé' The girl said holding her hands out and I shook it smiling.

After the small chatting, we left the house. Anvi was driving with Liya and kids in the front while I sat back with his mom and Chachi.

'So Aadhya, what did Rehan gave you?' Anvi asked and I think she's asking about the bracelet.

I showed them my hand in reply.

'I didn't knew he had such a good taste' his mom said and Chachi second that.

'Excuse me, me and him went together and I selected that' Liya said turning towards us.

'What was the reward' Anvi asked and Liya giggled.

'I wanted that new fast track watch and dad was not buying it to me so-' She laughed shaking her hands showing the watch.

'Hey, I can call you Aadhya Bhabhi right' Liya asked me and the kids suddenly turned towards me hearing the question.

I nodded while smiling.

So I really think I'm going really slow so I'll be writing long chapters now onwards with real fast.
