In the evening I grabbed a large Tshort and some leggins, picked up a towel and a bottle of water and drove to gym. I hope I won’t be late so I asked for a key from the locker and put my gym bag in it , then hit it to the cycling course. I checked my bicycle seat -it was ok, than lift it a little bit and got on it just to check everything is alright. Then I started my warm up before the trainer come. Of course Tyana was there and sitting next to her brought me comfort and made me feel stronger, so I sent her a smile, she had an hour of cycling already but she didn’t look tired. I emptied my mind, and let the physical effort to pedal, and the ability to keep my balance take over. I focused on the trainer’s voice, just breath in and out and follow her instruction and the effort made me breathe rapidly. I dont know why the new cycling room was darker but the truth is you don’t need to see much, it is not like you are going anywhere. The only road you need to see is in your mind. The right purpose of the course seems to be to concentrate on your physical effort, forget about where you are, set your goal and reach it, the power of your mind is limitless.
As our goal was reached, the trainer softened her voice and encouraged us to relax with every muscle, with every breathe.
The point is.. this new cycling studio was indeed a little bit darker. I mean the light was diffuse, yellow and you have to take care of the four or five stairs just at the front door. Once you step out of the cycling studio, you get right into the biggest area of the gym, all light up, with mirrors and full of people. The cycling studio used to be at the second floor, next to some yoga studios and it was more suitable for me.
Well.. as I got out of this new cycling studio, climbed the stairs, with the trainers instructions still in my head, the bottle of water in one hand and the towel in the other hand I just missed the last step. I closed my eyes instantly and covered my face with the towel, I knew I was going to fall, just hoped I won’t hurt my head or something, on my way to the gym floor. But there it was, a strong arm supporting my waist and helped me to regain my vertical position. When I looked up I saw the most incredible smile, mesmerised by the combination of brown eyes and that smile, I muttered some apologies and hurried up out of the gym. I was sure my face turned red, my heart was beating faster and by the time I reached the exit door Tanya was next to me, laughing: ‚What’s the matter with you? Wanted to meet the floor, but met something better, meanwhile?'
'What do you mean? I apologised..'
'Yes of course, you bumped into that man on purpose, did you know he watched you leaving the gym, looking like he wanted to say something to you? Why were you in such a hurry?'
'Don’t laugh! I was ashamed, I'm sure everyone noticed I was about to meet the floor.'
'No one did that. Fortunately your charming Prince was there to save you!'
'Hey, don’t say that, I don’t even know the guy!'
'Well, maybe you should change that!'
'Don’t be ridiculous!' I hurried into shower, let the water flow, because I didn’t want to hear Tanya laughs. I closed my eyes and let the water run through my hair and all over my skin. Gosh, I needed a cold shower! I need to be more careful. Luckily he caught me just in time, but who was he and where have I seen him before?
Nothing made any sense.. I was tired and hurried back home. Trying to avoid more laughter from my friend, I rushed out of the locker room saying Tanya I had something to do for work, and hit the road.
