Chapter Seven
The snow continued to fall dramatically over the weathercast. The roads were littered with the white substance. A car pulled up then stopped, turning off the lights, the engine was turned off. In the car sat Jackson and Oni. He looked at the apartment complex before them. Jackson turned to Oni and exhaled, “I know I haven’t really been around but because of this case and this agent, I have to play my part.”
“I know you are doing this to protect me and my family. I’m honored for that, Jackson,” Oni said casually.
“I know we are friends because of the pact and what our great grandparents placed upon us, but you’ve always been my brother,” Jackson related.
