"Come on, Lilac. I'm paying for these," Dmitri insisted, extending his hand with a playful grin. I pushed it away, my frustration evident in my expression. "These are my whims, Dmitri! You don't have to pay for it every time!" I retorted, my voice tinged with annoyance. I met his gaze, determined to stand my ground. "I don't care if these are your whims. Let me just pay, please?" He batted his long eyelashes at me, attempting to soften my resolve. I could feel his charm seeping through, tempting me to give in, but I couldn't let him have his way this time.
