The man was now invisible but still clicked slowly up the street. He moved out of earshot as he’d be approaching the busier Del Obispo Street. Salvador felt like he’d just avoided the devil entering his soul. Here again was a sign, an evil sign. He didn’t know why, and every cell in his body pleaded with him not to do it, but it was out of his control. The demon in his stomach pinched and cut at him until he followed the man round the corner. By the time Salvador rounded the corner, the man was turning left down an alley.
