The Luna of White Mountain

Chapter Eight

Five days. It has been five days since I woke up, all the silver is out of my body and Amethyst has healed my wounds even though she said I healed quicker by accepting Brandon as my mate, but I have now had enough of being stuck in this hospital and I don't know why, but I am getting a weird vibe from Doctor Charles even if he did save my life, there is something about him that I just can't put my finger on.

“Morning angel, did you sleep okay? I brought you some breakfast.”

I smiled as Brandon walked into my hospital room. He is usually here before I wake up, but he told me the night before that he had to patrol last night so he may not be here before I wake up. “Morning. How was the patrol? Thank you for breakfast. It smells delicious.” I started eating my breakfast because I knew Brandon wouldn't start talking until I started eating.

“Patrol was fine, no rogues on our land. I missed being here with you though. I hate not being here when you wake up. I'm sorry angel, please forgive me.”

“Of course I forgive you. I understand you have Alpha duties and can't be here with me every minute of every day.” I continued eating my breakfast while Brandon watched me. I used to hate people watching me eat, but Amethyst informed me that I don't mind him watching as he is my mate. “Brandon, do you know when I can get out of here? I am fed up with being stuck in the hospital. I want to go home. I want to go home and start our life together, and we can't do much of that with me stuck in this place.” I took another bite of my toast while I watched Brandon’s eyes cloud over, which meant he is mindlinking with a member of the pack. It only lasted a few minutes, and then he was back with me. “Everything okay?”

“Everything is fine angel. That was just Brody my Beta, he is on his way here to discuss something of importance with me. I can talk to him in the hallway if you are still not ready to meet anyone yet.”

I shook my head. “No, it's fine. I am ready to start meeting pack members, besides, I owe him a thank you anyway for saving my life.” Brandon leaned forward and kissed the top of my head.

“You're amazing, Ali. I can't believe you're mine forever “

“You better start getting used to it because I don't plan on going anywhere, well apart from home with you.” I was just finishing the last of my breakfast when there was a knock on my hospital room door. Brandon removed the tray off my bed and sat with me on my bed.

“That's Brody. Are you ready to meet him?” I nodded and kissed Brandon to let him know I was okay. “Okay. I wasn't expecting that but it was nice. Come in Brody.”

Brody opened the door and smiled at Brandon and I. Brody was just as tall as Brandon with blond hair. “Good morning Alpha and Miss….”

Brandon laughed “Brody, there is no need to call me Alpha.” He turned to me and smiled at me and then looked back at Brody “and this is Alianna Grace Morgenstern. She is my mate and the future Luna of the White Mountain Pack. Alianna, this is Brody Benson, my best friend and Beta of the pack.”

I held my hand out to shake Brody's, and he took it. “It's a pleasure to meet you, Luna” Brody turned to Brandon. "Wait, did you say Morgenstern, Morgenstern from the Blue Lake Mountain Pack?”

“Yes he did. I am, sorry I mean I was the daughter of the late great Alpha Joseph David Morgenstern, and please call me Alianna or Ali. There is no need for formalities, at least not yet. Brody before you and Brandon discuss whatever it is that you need to discuss. I just want to personally thank you for finding me at the pack borders and saving my life. I might not have survived if you hadn't found me when you did. So thank you, Brody.”

“There is no need to thank me Luna, sorry I mean Alianna. I would do it again if I had to, but I will say the fact that I saved my best friend's mate and the future Luna of our pack makes it even more worthwhile. Alianna, just so you know, as the Beta of this pack, it is my job to protect you with my life and that is exactly what I will do.”

“Thank you, Brody.” Brody seemed really nice, and I wasn't getting any weird vibes from him like I did with Doctor Charles. I just wish I knew why I was getting this vibe from the doctor. I have never felt anything like it before, it's almost like I can sense his emotions.

“That's because you are Alianna. It's part of our power.”

“Amethyst? What do you mean?”

“One of our powers is to pick up on people's emotions. What you feel about the doctor is worry and guilt. Something has happened that has the doctor feeling worried and guilty over something.”

“I don't understand. Hold on you said one of our powers. How many do we have Amethyst?”

“I am not completely sure. We will have to speak with Amara and see if she knows. She is part of us as well, so she might know. Oh my god, how sexy our mate is. I can't wait to mate with him and Kojax. I bet they are beasts in bed.”

“Oh my god Amethyst. Seriously, you tell me that my powers are becoming active and then become a horny wolf all in the same sentence. Seriously girl.”

“Oh come on. Remember I am part of you, so I know exactly what you're thinking and feeling, and you have been thinking the same. So don't seriously girl me missy.”

“Alianna, baby, are you okay?”

I blinked and looked at both Brandon and Brody, who were both staring at me. “Huh? Yes, sorry I am okay. I was just having a conversation with Amethyst, but yeah, I am okay.”

“What were you and Amethyst discussing? It looked like a really serious conversation one minute and then next thing we knew you were giggling. What were you giggling at?”

I blushed because I didn't realize I had giggled “I ... .erm was giggling at myself.” Oh my god why have I suddenly got embarrassed in front of Brandon? “I will tell you later babe. I don't think Brody would want to know what me and Amethyst were discussing if you know what I mean.”

I watched Brody look around the hospital room looking everywhere instead of Brandon and me. Then he looked back at me quickly. “Wait, did you say your wolf’s name is Amethyst? That means your wolf is a descendant of the moon goddess herself.” I looked between him and Brandon and then back to Brody and nodded “wow. Brandon, you have one special mate there.”

Brandon pulled me closer to him and kissed me on the top of my head. “Yes, I know mate, but Brody listen, I don't want the rest of the pack knowing, at least not yet. I want to get Alianna home first and settled, and then when she is ready I will introduce her to the pack and let them know, then we will have her Luna ceremony and the big pack run, but until then only a few of us know who Ali is, and I'd like to keep it that way for now.”

“Understood. Your secret is safe with me.”

“Thanks mate. Anyway, let's get back to what we were discussing.”

Brandon and Brody continued talking about pack matters while I sat and watched a movie on the tablet that Brandon let me use, even though he has said multiple times that whatever I want he will get for me, seeing as I have nothing of my own anymore since my old home was destroyed.
