Chapter Nine

Doctor Charles came round a few hours later and told Brandon and me that I could finally leave the hospital and go home and to say I was ecstatic was an understatement. Brandon had gone back to the pack house to get things sorted and borrow some clothes from his sister so that I wasn’t going home in a hospital gown. While Brandon was at the pack house, I went into my en suite bathroom and took a nice hot shower as there was no way I was going home smelling like the hospital. It felt nice standing under the spray of the shower. It was just what I needed after being stuck in bed for five days. I must have been in the shower a while when I heard my name being called “Alianna, Alianna, I am back, and I have got you some clothes. I will put them on the side here. My sister has said once you're feeling up to it, she will take you shopping to get your own clothes.” “Okay thank you, Brandon. I'll be out in a minute.” I dried myself off and got dressed in the clothes that Brandon had borrowed from his sister and exited the bathroom while doing my best to towel dry my hair as I couldn’t find a hairdryer. “I need to thank your sister for lending me some of her clothes again. I do need to get some of my own but all my identification and credit cards were all destroyed when the rogues attacked Blue Lake Mountain, so I don’t know how I am going to get new ones sorted.” Brandon walked over to me from where he was standing and placed his arms around my waist. “You don’t need to worry about money Alianna, you have me now, and I will spoil you rotten. Everything I own now also belongs to you. That includes money. We will get you new identification because I do want to travel with you and take you to many different places. You are my queen Alianna and I will spend every day treating you like one.” I looked down at my feet and Brandon placed a finger under my chin and made me look at him “what’s wrong baby?” “I don’t…… I don’t want to be a kept woman. I mean I want you to keep me, but back at Blue Lake Mountain I was independent. I used to work in the daycare center helping out. I loved it, because to the children I was Ali and not the alpha’s daughter. I enjoyed watching the children become their own person, it was amazing, and I was part of it. I like being independent, Brandon.” I looked back down at my feet. “Baby look at me.” I looked back up at Brandon “I will never want to take your independence away from you. If you want to help out around the back house as well as being Luna, then you can baby. We have a wonderful day care here, and I am sure the children will love you and the pack members who work there will love you as well, and if you don't want to help at the daycare, I am sure you will find something you want to do, but first how about we get you home and then in a few days I can show you around your new pack. Okay?” I nodded and kissed Brandon on the cheek. As we walked through the hallway, everyone smiled and said goodbye to myself and Brandon. I felt good to actually be leaving the hospital finally. When we stepped outside, I realised that I hadn’t seen daylight for nearly a month and the last time I had seen daylight was when I lost my parents in the rogue attack on my pack and froze. Brandon must have sensed something was up as he put down my bag and turned to look at me. “Baby, are you okay? What’s wrong?” I didn’t realise I was crying until Brandon wiped away the tears that were on my cheeks “hey why are you crying? I thought you would be happy to be leaving this place?” I looked up and smiled at Brandon through my tears “I am happy to be leaving the hospital, but as we stepped outside I realised that I hadn’t seen daylight in nearly a month and that the last time I had seen daylight was when the rogues attacked Blue Lake Mountain and killed my whole pack along with my parents and that was the last time I saw them. I am sorry if I worried you. I didn't mean to.” “It's okay baby. I should have remembered that you hadn’t been outside for a while and that it might be a little overwhelming.” Brandon kissed my forehead “are you okay now baby? Are you ready to go home?” I nodded and we started walking down the stairs. It was a lovely day, the sun was shining brightly above us and in the distance somewhere, probably in the woods, I could hear birds singing and it was the most beautiful sound. I have always loved nature and wildlife and can’t wait to get back to it. All of a sudden, Brandon stopped, and I looked at him and then looked at where he was looking and in front of us was a very nice white sports car. I looked at Brandon. “Wow, this is a nice car. Is it your babe?” “No babe, it is ours. Remember when I said everything I own is now yours as well. Well, that also included transport. We have a number of private cars that belong to us and a few motorbikes. We have bigger cars for back business as well. Do you know how to drive babe?” I nodded, “it was the one thing my father made sure everyone of legal age in the pack knew what to do in case we ever needed to drive somewhere for whatever reason.” Brandon smiled “that’s exactly what I do here at our pack babe. Everyone of legal age at White Mountain knows how to drive and those that are not of legal age can’t wait to learn. Brody and Darius teach the young male wolves how to drive, while some of my female warriors teach the young female wolves. When Brody and Darius find their mates, then I will ask the Beta and Gamma females to help with the driving lessons.” Brandon walked me round to the passenger side of the car and opened the door for me and I felt a nice cool breeze from the aircon hit me in the face, and it felt so refreshing. Once I climbed into the car, Brandon bulked my seat belt, kissed me on the lips and closed my door. I saw the boot open and then close again and Brandon was climbing into the car. “Ready to go home baby.” with a smile I nodded and leaned over and kissed my mate on the lips," Yes I am ready.”
