Grace froze, her arm trapped in Alex's grip. “Let go of me," she snapped. “Who do you think you are?" Alex didn't flinch. “Someone who doesn't stand by while a grown woman hits her own daughter in a hospital," he said. “Try it again and I'll have security walk you out. Try it a third time and I'll let the police deal with it." Grace yanked her wrist, but his hand was steady and controlled. He wasn't hurting her, just not letting her move. “You dare threaten me?" she hissed. “In front of my husband? In front of my daughter?" “Your daughter?"
