Jade looked at me and I regretted what I just said immediately.
“I didn’t mean it like that,” I said and she looked down and didn’t say anything.
Instead, she got up from her chair and I looked at her confused.
“What are you doing?” I asked her and she shrugged with a smile.
“I am going to work, have a good day,” she said and turned to leave. I quickly got up and blocked her path.
“You haven’t eaten anything, sit down and eat,” I said and she shook her head.
“I am not that hungry,” she said and I sighed as I looked at her.
“Stop being stubborn and sit down. At least listen to my reasons for saying no,” I said and she smiled.
“The same way you listened to Tia’s reasons?” she asked me and I sighed.
She does have a point and I hate that about her.
