“Well, is that why you called me here Jade? To use me?” Mrs Bennett asked her daughter.
“Yes, you are the only person I know who is capable of making anyone feel inferior,” Jade answered.
“Should I take that as a compliment?” her mother asked and Jade just shrugged.
“I don’t know. But thank you for coming,” Jade said and then sighed.
“Have you eaten anything?” she asked her mother.
I watched carefully as Jade was looking around, her mother looked at her.
I saw what seemed like a glimpse of a smile as she looked at Jade.
“Not yet, but I did wake up early to come here,” Mrs Bennett said.
“Yes, I had someone prepare a bath for you. They will lead the way, you can take a nap there as well,” Jade answered.
