“Can I ask you something?” I asked Stephen and he nodded.
“Why do you want to be Alpha? I was raised to be the coven leader and I hated every minute of it,” I said and he smiled.
“This is my home and these are my people. I want to take care of them and protect them,” he answered and I looked at him.
Those words sound so familiar that I couldn’t help but chuckle.
“What’s funny?” he asked me and I shook my head.
“Caring and protecting people isn’t easy. Yes you come out looking like the hero but there is more to it than that,” I said and looked at his reaction.
“I believe that I can do it, I know that I can do it,” he answered and I nodded.
