For someone whose life was in disarray, getting multiple threats and about to be married to monsters in human clothing, I slept so well. Even so much better than I had since getting to the Shadowcrest pack.
According to Rissa, my personal maid, the wedding was to take place in the evening, so I had half the day to myself. She woke me in the afternoon, freshening me up, only for me to come out of the bathroom to a royal platter of food.
Not even as a beta’s daughter had I gotten anything like this.
Maids filed inside my room, a round table that was not there before, suddenly at the center, with all sorts of foods.
