For years, the Shadowcrest pack has been kept locked away from alphas and anyone else. Rumors have it that the alphas are monsters, evil devils, and that the pack is just too stunningly beautiful and doesn't need anyone’s help to flourish.
While the first one was true, down-to-earth, and real, the second was by far the most truthful. I had no idea how Rissa sneaked me out of the packhouse, and it made me regret not knowing her when I wanted to escape. Only if I had known her or seen her, I wouldn’t have married the devils, or have them as husbands, or be threatened.
After my breakdown, and me whispering the magic words to her, Rissa had sneaked me out through the kitchen, calling it an escape route for the maids, and brought me, according to her, to the heart of the pack.
