DEMIEN'S POV I knelt beside Lena, my hand resting on her belly, my heart racing with a mixture of fear and anger. Her face was pale, eyes wide with panic as she looked up at me, tears pooling in the corners of her eyes. “Are you hurt?” I asked, my voice softer now, the edge of my anger gone as I saw the terror in her gaze.
