“Mom, why did you still go behind my back to see and threaten Lily? I thought I told you guys to steer clear of her and her child? This is insane.” I said angrily as soon as I entered the house.
Lily had called me earlier crying hysterically. I had to find a way to calm her down despite several attempts. It took a while but she finally calmed down.
She had told me that shortly after I left her at the hospital entrance, someone had come to look for her and informed her that my mother was waiting for her at a cafe across the street.
She said she thought it was supposed to be a nice little meeting, but Mom had embarrassed her, insulted her and her family, and disgraced her inside the cafe.
I was pissed, didn’t they promise to leave Lily and her child alone?
