Chapter 9

April POV

Today is day four of me being with the pack. Me and Justin have been inseparable. When Justin called me to his office. I entered, "Hey honey did you need me?" as he beckoned me to his lap. I sat down and snuggled into his arms. I placed my head in the nook of his neck. He let out a moan as my nose brushed against the spot that I would mark. Hopefully that day will be soon. It is getting harder not to be one with him.

He looks down at me with a sly grin on his face. He gently lifted my chin, so I am looking in his eyes. He lowered his lips to mine; it started out slowly and sweetly but as time went on the kiss became more enthusiastic. I moaned into Justin's lips as our tongues battled for dominance.

We pulled apart to finally catch our breath. “If we don’t stop now” he said, “I will not be able to control myself.” I lay my head back on his shoulder. I asked him again what it was that he needed from me.

"We have to talk about your Luna ceremony to officially welcome you to the pack and for you to claim your rightful place." Justin told me. I started to get nervous because I do not like being the center of attention. The last time that happened was when the pack decided to publicly humiliate me.

"When do we have to do?" I asked. He said, "I would like to do it as soon as possible." I was nervous but I am willing to do what he needs me to do. I asked him about the mating ceremony. He looks at me shocked. "Whenever you want my love." he said.

We decided to arrange the Luna ceremony for 1 month from today. As for the mating ceremony for just the two of us, I am going to surprise him tonight.

Justin POV

I am sitting in my office going through paperwork that has piled up over the last week. But I started missing April. I know we need to talk about her becoming a member of the Sweet Water pack. Everyone already accepts her, just need it to be official.

It has been a tough four days I just want to make her mine, but I know she is not ready. I will not pressure her, but I can only take so many cold showers. I am so ready to mate with her.

I decided to call for her to come to my office to discuss the Luna ceremony. She shows up about five minutes later. I beckoned for her to sit on my lap. She nuzzles my neck as I take a large whiff of her hair. I could never get over how good she smells. Chocolate and strawberries is my favorite snack.

“You needed me love?” she asked. I nodded to her. “We need to talk about the Luna ceremony.” I can feel her tense in my lap. “Are you okay, my love?” She shakes her head indicating no. “I am scared. The last time a pack wanted to do anything public for me, they embarrassed me with their crude comments and the items they threw at me.” I tightened my hold on her waist. “Baby that will never happen here. If anyone tries to harm, embarrass, or otherwise disrespect you, then they will be banished from our grounds.” I reassured her. She wrapped her arms around my neck and leant in a placed a gentle kiss on my lips.

“When do you want to do it?” April asked me. “I would like it to be as soon as possible.” I said. She looked like she was contemplating. “What about one month from now?” She asks. “That sounds great to me. Any idea of theme you may want?” I asked her. “Yeah, I have always wanted to attend a masquerade ball.” She said with a huge smile on her face. “I love that idea” I exclaim. “Now that is settled, there is one more thing I need to talk to you about.” I said nervously.

“Okay?” She says with a look that I cant read but I can feel that she is nervous and a little scared. I proceeded to tell her how Jared investigated her old pack and what the results were. I left out the part about Declan looking for her until the end.

“Baby, I have to tell you that Declan has been searching for you.” I feel her tense up. “I want to know what you want me to do April.” I can now see that she is trying hard not to cry. “I can tell him to stop looking for you. You have already been mated (Not true but hopefully soon.)

“Can you mark me before you tell him?” she asked. “Baby I will mark you whenever you are ready.” April nodded at me. “Give me about an hour and I will find you. I have a surprise for you.”

“When you are done what you must. I want to take you out for a bit. We can go to dinner and maybe get you some new clothes. Even though I love seeing you in my shirts.” Justin said to me. I can’t help but chuckle

A whole hour without my mate, what am I to do? Just then Jared mind linked me telling me we have company. “Who is it?” I demanded. “You are not going to like this, but it is the Dark Forest Alpha Declan.” Jared replied. What the f**k is he doing here? I did not receive notice of them coming here. “Please escort him to my office and do not let him out of your sight.”

“Copy that, Alpha.” Jared replied. A few moments past before Jared and Declan arrived at my office.

“To what do I owe this intrusion?” I asked Declan. “I am not sure if you are aware, but my mate has disappeared. I have been trying to locate he in all the packs from Roanoke to Maine.” He said.

“I am not sure how that concerns me?” I gave a serious reply. “Her scent puts her coming this way. Have you seen a beautiful red headed women with sea foam eyes?” he proceeded. “No now if you don’t mind, I am taking my Luna out for dinner. Jared can you please escort Alpha Declan and his Bata to the border please?” I asked Jared
