Forever Betrayed

Chapter 4

April POV

I could not shake this feeling no matter how hard I tried. So, I crept to the window and gently pulled the curtain just a little to see if someone was there. I spotted two of the most gorgeous men talking right outside my door. There was a bit of panic rising in me because there is only one exit. I feared Declan had sent someone to track me down. That is when I smelled the most amazing smell, the smell of Vanilla and coconut.

I quickly backed away from the door and window when I suddenly heard someone knock on the door. Hoping it was just someone from the hotel at the door, I opened the door cautiously. I was shocked to see that it was one of the gorgeous men. They both stood at over six feet tall. One had deep brown hair with hazel eyes and gave off an alpha vibe. While the other had sandy blonde hair with deep blue eyes.

Before I could get the door all the way open, Lily yelling “mate” startled me. Confused by what she said, they had just rejected their mate. Lily huffed because I did not understand that the Moon Goddess has given me a second chance at happiness. I took a deep breath while processing what she had just told me, when Lily caught the most wonderful smell. The smell of vanilla and coconuts. I was as shocked as he was.

I was taken aback when one of the gorgeous men lunge at me, which startled me. But he was not attacking, as he grabbed me into a bone crushing hug. He pulled me to arm's length with the biggest smile on his face. He looked just like a kid on Christmas. He pulled me back in for another hug. This time he spun us around as the other two men looked at him like he had done lost his mind. “I have finally found my mate.” He shouted.

Once he finally put me down, I went to start asking him questions. But he beat me to it. "What is your name beautiful?" He asked me while holding my hand. "April" I replied. "Where are you from?" "Dark Forest pack, but please don't send me back!" I pleaded with him as tears started to build in my eyes threatening the dam to break. He replied "why would I send you anywhere that I am not? What did they do to you?" I just shook my head not wanting to say for fear of what he would do if he knew how bad my life had been. Why would he want a broken mate?

Justn POV

I cannot believe my eyes. This gorgeous being is mine. She was made for me. The goddess truly blessed me, and it was worth the wait. But when I went to grab her, she froze.

Someone had hurt my mate and hurt her badly. Why would anyone want to hurt this beautiful being?

I placed her down but continued to hold her hand as we walked towards the bed. I did not want to startle her, so I sat her next to me and began asking her about who she was, where she was from, and who hurt her.

She told me her name is April and that she is from the Dark Forest pack. But she did something that tugged at my heartstrings. She began to tear up and beg me not to send her back. I was dumbfounded. Why on goddess green earth would I send her back. She belongs with me for the rest of our days.

I begin to get angry, but I try not to show it. I looked deep into her eyes. I can see she is hiding something and is not ready to reveal what exactly had happened.

I will find out who hurt my beloved at all costs. No one will hurt her again that I can promise.

In all the excitement I forgot all about my Bata was at the door with an amused look on his face. April now looks at mw tiredly from crying. I pulled her closer to me and placed her head on my chest.

I looked at Jared, my Bata, and showed him to come closer. He looked at me with amusement on his face. “What is so funny?” I asked. Jared just shook his head. “I have never seen you so giddy before.” I laugh. “I have waited my whole life to find her and now I have finally found her.” I said. “I want you to investigate the Dark Forest Pack. Someone has hurt her.” Jared looks angry but nods his head in agreement.

I lay down with April still on my chest. I do not know what she went through, and I am hoping she will decide to open herself to me. I am thinking of how April reacted to, I hope she can learn to trust me.
