Craven tighten his grip for a moment as their blood flowed into each other. No one had ever tried to protect him, yet here this fragile girl was vowing to do so. He had taken his brother’s place in her eyes. It was a shame Deth had chosen a human woman, a stupid one at that, over a life with his child. Perhaps that would change at a later date… only time would tell. For the first time, Craven felt a building hatred for his brother.
