Tiara flinched hearing his warning and without having to concentrate at all, she pulled the circle inward until it was only reaching a very small area.
Craven caressed his cheek against hers, feeling her hunger vanish with his touch almost as quickly as it had spiked due to her mistake. “That’s better. Now, instead of reaching for the souls, call them to you one at a time. If they attempt to rush you without permission, pull the power back inside of you until they behave.”
Tiara took a slow deep breath and reached for the nearest soul with her mind. She smiled softly when a little boy approached before the others and slipped into her body.
