Hunter’s POV
I kept running trying to keep up with her. f**k she is fast! I couldn’t hear her footfalls anymore. She must be quite a bit farther ahead than I thought. Wait! What is going on?
“Sam! Can you pick up her scent?”
“No! It’s like she just fuckihng disappeared! What the f**k?!”
“WHAT THE ACTUAL f**k!” I growled out loud. How could her scent just vanish. It’s like she was never even in these woods. “Sniff around, maybe we just got off track.” I hollered at Sam. Hopefully one of us could pick up something. I did not want to even imagine what could be at play right now! I put my snout in the air and sniffed deeply. Nothing. I sniffed the ground, I back-tracked and tried sniffing the trees in the area. Nothing. It’s like she just vanished. As if she was never here at all.
