Nicole's POV
I woke up to find myself lying in a hospital bed, surrounded by darkness. Struggling to remember what had happened the night before, my mind could only recall the pain I had endured the previous evening.
“Thank the Goddess. you're awake, Nicole. I thought you’d be out for a week,” said the nurse, Jessica, who seemed genuinely surprised to see me conscious.
I looked at her, confused by her words. “How long have I been asleep? What time is it now?” I asked.
“It’s 9 PM. You’ve been unconscious for a whole day.”
A whole day? How could I have been out for so long? Did my mother know? She must be worried.
“Nicole, I know you’ve been through a lot, but you need to stay strong,” Jessica said, her eyes filled with concern.
