Nicole's POV
I felt my body uncontrollably plummeting.
I tried to struggle, but my body refused to obey, completely immobilized.
Darkness enveloped me, rendering me sightless as if I had gone blind.
Suddenly, I sensed a force pulling at my body, yanking me downward at an incredible speed. I couldn't see where I was headed.
I opened my mouth to scream, forcing my vocal cords to produce any sound, any noise. Yet, no sound came out, nor could I hear anything. It was as if I were in a vacuum.
I closed my eyes, awaiting the inevitable.
Then, abruptly, I crashed to the ground. Dressed in white pajamas, the grass itched against my exposed skin. I lay there for a few seconds, savoring the soft, almost cushion-like feel of the grass.
I moved my hands to sit up and check my surroundings.
