Forgotten Pack

             Before the war, or most would say the rise of the rogues. My family owned our territory. My father being the Alpha, with the rogue attacks coming closer to us. My father had to submit to the pleads of our pack to join other packs for safety, and he let them leave. The packs started working together to push the rogues back into their holes. But, they forgot to check on the packs they left behind. We soon became forgotten. Living in peace for the most part, until one night they came. Only one way my father could protect us, we became rogues!

BANG! BANG! BANG!

“Darling, don’t open the door!” my mother whispered as she held me and my little brother close taking us upstairs to my room. I could hear muffled voices, looking in my mother’s eyes I see fear. “Do not leave this room Rose.”  All I could do was nod as she left us.

As I open the door fear for my family runs in my veins, my wolf ready to protect our pups even if it kills us.

Three men stand on my porch I see behind them lights from fire sticks when I glance, I see more men also woman and children. But I know they are rogues. “May I help you?” The one in front I since power so I know he is the leader with a scare down his face, he is filthy he is almost as tall as me of 6’ they all look thin, I know I can kill him easy just from the undernourishment, they are more so I listen. “We see you are alone, and we would mean you and your family no harm we only seek camp?!”  the threat doesn’t go easy with my alpha wolf but I must protect my family so I breathe out and look past him again to see the starved young children, I feel Kelly my mate behind me and I already know she seen them too and wants to help, “No harm shale come to my family?” “You have my word as the rouge Alpha of this pack!” “My home isn’t big enough for everyone but we can cook you all a meal and you may set up camp, this land used to belong to a pack if you want I have a map to show you where some of the homes are even the pack house instead of sleeping outside.” As I say this, I feel I made a big mistake his eyes turn where I can tell he is thinking. “yes, that will be great, may I come inside? Some of the woman can help your mate cook as well.” As I step aside for him to enter, he lifts his hand to shake, not being rude I welcome the hand. Its ice cold ‘don’t trust him’ my wolf yells, but I have no other choice to let him pass. Expecting his two men to join they turn back to the group to talk, as I get ready to shut the door three woman with two little girls enter and look at Kelly “They are here to help cook” “O’ yes fallow me.” And she led them to the kitchen all of them with cuts, scares all over. Headed over to the table I offer him a seat and pull the maps from the bookshelf and join him. Spreading out over the table my land. “so, we are here I’ll mark a X over “as I walk him threw the land and homes. “how long are you thinking of needing shelter?” big mistake. “well Mr.”” Alex. you can call me Alex.” “Well Alex, seems like this land is open and seems unprotected maybe we could help each other out. I’m Dex.” “Dex? Hm... well Dex what would you have in mind on meaning of help?” “You see Alex my people could make homes in the houses all along this row” as he points to the map. “And protect your home for well-being. Or you could join us as a pack or just stay here as you were with no threat if you stay out of what goes on in my pack. Or we kill you and your family now and take it all?” My anger grows from this young rouge Alpha. “Papa?” Little Alex and Rose are at the steps. “Rose room now please!” “Sorry papa he is fast.”  And they head back upstairs. “hmmmm Rose’ how old is she?” “She is none of your concern! I’ll agree to your wish, but me and my family are to be left unharmed?” “Yes of course I will make sure all know to never bother your family or death will come upon them by my own hands.” Relief washed over me, but I still felt uneasy the way his nostrils flared and the way he looked at the steps to Rose. I will kill him before he even stands all the way up. “Thank you Dex. Shell, I walk you out so you may talk to your pack?” he looks at me and finally breathes. “yes of course I shell go get everyone settled, but I know they smell food so I’ll send more woman into help prepare so we can eat.” As he got up and walked to the door. It was a long night as more woman and small girls carried food outside, I did not see Dex no more this night. Kelly put Alex Jr to bed and rose at ease then finished helping but never leaving out the front door. After all members had food, they left their own way to find homes. We cleaned up not talking and locked up our home and checked up on our pups when I was able to hold my mate. “Alex I’m scarred” “me too Kelly, me too.” The quiet of the house didn’t help, every noise had me on edge. I stayed up all night waiting for them to come kill us...

“why are we letting them live?” my beta Josh a dirty blonde broken nose jerk asks, as I sit at my new desk.* It’s nice to finally have a place of my own and I think the pack will be happy. I am glad I won’t hear screams as much as my men let out their anger on the woman, I know I’ve had a few but hell it gets annoying to be near it all the time. “we are rogues, so we take!” I look at him pacing “Am I not your Alpha?” stopping him dead in his tracks. “yes, my Alpha!” and he drops to his knee. “stand Josh. We will let them live for now and do no harm. My word I will keep! So, let it be known NO ONE is to bother them.” I see his anger flare, but he is my beta we were born in the same rouge pack and grew up together I’m older by a year but still he is my beta and loyal to me. “I don’t like it Dex he screamed Alpha!” “I know who he is Josh. I am not stupid! But he will help us train and get back stronger just to protect his family. I knew where we were when I entered the land, this was the Silver Wolf Pack, but they were small and peaceful so when the war started, they could not stay and ran. But forgot about their Alpha who stayed when the packs joined together to fight no one came to help Alpha Alex and his family.” As Josh listened her face entered my mind. Rose’. Not older than 15 I remember being brought here once and we played together. I am glad I remembered where it was at did not think the stories were true and they would still be here. Being a rogue, you look older than you really are cause your dirty and thin, only Josh knows I am only 18 years old. She was beautiful then and even more now… I know I’m sick! After I seen her on them steps, I wanted her. Wanted to claim her there. I will claim her one day when she turns 17, she will be mine and carry my pups I will take her willing or un, does not matter to me not one bit. Realizing Josh is still standing there talking I wave him one. “Go. Rest, relieve yourself I don’t care just make sure the pack knows to stay away from them or I’ll kill them myself.” “yes, my Alpha” and walks out.
