From Venus To Earth

Abandoned

We got ready for the shipment. The before night, I spent nearly 5 hours with Emilie. It’s a female and after its structural change, it wasn’t behaving like before. Her acts became vulgar, she wasn’t eating properly. Eventhough, General wanted the bird to be shipped soon. I felt a bit disappointed. The next day Emilie was shipped to AGENDA, our primary traveller. Primary traveller will lead other seven travellers into the dark, mysterious and adventurous space to begin our journey. I and my family was selected in first place and we climbed in the second traveller. So here our path begins. We rested in our cabins provided inside the traveller. It was a bit luxurious. We had separate CO2 to breathe, and water to drink. Meanwhile I’ll say what happened to our planet. Before a thousand years, not only Venus, but the fourth planet from the star, also flourished with beautiful lives. But we were primitive than them. They established the first connection with us before few hundred years. As soon as they found us, they prepared to occupy and populate their species in our planet. They started to dominate all native species in our home planet. Huge war began. That was our first inter-planetary war. They had advanced war machines, which undoubtedly failed us. The war almost lasted a century. After all chaos, we were left with nothing but big metal war machines and junks. They occupied all our resources and left the planet. Then, they never returned. Our leftover beings who survived the war, began a new revolution. With those big junks of metal, we slowly developed and equipped ourselves.

We developed in science and technology a few hundred years later. Coming back to present, we are heading to a planetary system which is nearly 200 light years away. Our only way to reach the system is by travelling through a wormhole. General contacted us and informed us to take a safer place as we were heading close to the wormhole. The wormhole is near the fourth planet. As we came closer to the fourth planet, I was astonished. The whole planet was doomed. It was fully white and covered with ice. The whole planet has undergone the Ice era, wiping all life in it. But we believed that those advanced beings must have escaped.

We entered the wormhole. It was bright, colourful and was like a long narrow tunnel. We moved on. All our travellers started to travel in utmost speed equal to speed of light. We were cautious that we sould not overspeed as it may lead to skip in time. We travelled for almost an hour. Finally, we reached the star system. It was fabulous. No words to say. It was a binary star system. Comprised of two stars and five planets. Out of five, life is capable in three of them. We stopped. Suddenly, warning siren howled fast. We were in fear. I contacted general. But we lost contact with Agenda. All seven travellers contacted among themselves to investigate about the issue. I received call from General again. He said to fall back. I stood frightened. He continued. A belt of asteroids were approaching in tremendous speed which will merge with our trajectory. I informed all seven travellers to abort the mission and fall back. Here the unforgettable incident took place. Emilie escaped from Agenda and fiercely raged towards the asteroids. I took my escape pod and jumped out of my traveller. All people were in fear. At that time, my only aim was to take back Emilie into Agenda safely and to fall back. I followed Emilie. It was a highly fatal task. Agenda followed me. General was also ready to help me. I somehow managed to get near Emilie and tried to talk with her. But she seemed frightened. She screamed at her highest pitch and raged towards the asteroids.

Meanwhile, all other seven travellers returned back. Now it was me, Agenda, Emilie and the asteroids. The only way to survive was to take back Emilie to Agenda. The asteroids came closer and closer. General contacted me and said it was not safe to go any further. But I wasn’t ready to give up that fast. I broke the contactor and rushed towards Emilie. I was sure that Emilie would understand me. While I approached closer to her, she was hit by an asteroid. I shouted. She was carried by that asteroid along their path. Agenda which believed me and followed me was also hit by an asteroid. Although it wasn’t a huge impact, Agenda’s fuel box was damaged. I returned back to Agenda. General, who was greatly disappointed, was forced to land the traveller in the nearby planet. Luckily, the nearest planet supports life to an extent. We landed Agenda. Now, we lost contact with all our seven travellers and people. We must take shelter in that unknown planet waiting for help. We weren’t sure what future problem awaits. We were abandoned.
