Celine I watch as Sebastian and Dolton leave. Tonight—today—is the last day I have to be normal. As normal as I can be, considering who I am. After today, it’s back to being the Queen Goddess, back to proving myself to the elders. After that, I’ll have to do the same for each kingdom. The fae were easy—they could sense my honesty and feel it. But the others? I’ll be a literal showcase, proving my ability by shifting into each form. I’m not comfortable with it, but I’ll do it. I’ll do whatever it takes if it means stopping the Werewolf King. If it means finding out where all the stolen children are. Some won’t even be children anymore. Some will be like me—adults, lost and still locked up like objects. There’s something I want to do, though, something I hope Jonathan will help me with.
